Engineering
Bespoke engineering and design from the ground up is all possible here at our purpose built workshop in Hereford. With full machine shop services we are geared up for almost any request and on-site equipment ready to go anywhere in the world at a moments notice.
We fabricate in a range of materials including Stainless steel and Aluminium and can weld to coded standards in MIG, TIG and MMA.
We work closely with global brands to provide cost effective solutions to facilitate clients' innovative projects. Whilst creating unique engineering solutions around the world for companies including a global vehicle manufacturer, we never forget our roots and give our local regular customers our utmost attention, turning work around in as short a period of time as possible. Everything from a repair or duplication of small components right through to full modifications and new idea builds.
Our reputation for being able to make the impossible possible has taken us to all four corners of the world and continues to do so. Take a look at our projects for an example of just a few of the things we've done over the years.
Our machine shop handles profiling and laser cutting, including a lathe turning to 7m, 3m wide rollers, 200t 4m press brake and vertical and horizontal borers to 4t.
Between us all here at HMS Engineering we can offer a wide range of experience and expertise on all kinds of fabrication, machining, hydraulics and pneumatics from one-offs to high volume units.

Film & TV
HMS Engineering have been involved in film and TV for many years and have gained significant experience supporting production teams in a variety of roles around the world.
The engineering experts behind programmes as diverse as The Grand Tour, Scrapheap Challenge and Top Gear to Tricked and Predators up close with Joel Lambert, we assist in all areas of programme conception through to series completion both on and off camera.
Knowing the difficulties of engineering on location around the world we have developed a knack for making something from nothing in some remote places but more importantly we know how critical it is to be well prepared for the job at hand.
Being involved in programme planning from the outset we are able to help with location recces and engineering designs ensuring programme costs are kept to a minimum.
Our large, out-of-the-way workshop and yard is used regularly for filming. With all the tools and machinery on hand we are a viable solution to your production needs.
Working with everyone from small independent production companies to large corporate organisations making programmes for all channels including Discovery, National Geographic, Amazon Prime, BBC, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5.
